The River Barle In Autumn

The river near Tarr Steps on the edge of Exmoor in Somerset is a lovely place specially in Autumn and this Autumn has been very colourful.

Delightful colour

I had a walk there and captured a number of slow shutter and long exposure shot.

Autumn by the river

The water level is low and so was able to get right into the scenes.

Very long exposure

All these taken just a little way up from Tarr Steps on a still overcast afternoon.

Ladram Bay

Ladram Bay (part of the Jurassic Coast) is a delightful place for pictures with the towering sandstone stacks and colourful headlands. Facing South East makes it an idea sunrise or even pre-dawn place. The low tide reveals rocky beach areas and an increased range of view points. A place I have visited several times and always enjoyed.

Recent walks around Hele Payne

Walking around the beautiful Hele Payne Farm on a summers evening with low sunlight casting shadows on the curving fields and the small field patterns leading up to the hills called Yarde Downs.
